Hockey Québec freezes its membership fees for the 2025-2026 season

Montreal, Tuesday, April 8, 2025 – Hockey Québec has been informed that the portion of membership fees related to Hockey Canada will increase by $12.10 per player next season (2025-26). In an effort to support Quebec families during a period of inflation, where the cost of living continues to rise, Hockey Québec announced today that its portion of the annual player fees for the 2025-2026 season will remain unchanged. To achieve this, Hockey Québec's board of directors has decided to use $1 million from its active funds to offset this increase and maintain its rates at their current level.

“In a context where everything is becoming more expensive, this decision reflects our strong commitment to our members and their families. We fully understand that every rate increase represents an additional financial challenge, which is why we felt it was essential to invest directly to ease this burden,” said Christian Labbé, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Hockey Québec.
This exceptional measure aims to provide financial support to families while maintaining the quality and accessibility of services offered to young players in all regions of Quebec.
“We remain committed to providing an accessible, safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for everyone who chooses to play our sport,” said Stéphane Auger, Executive Director of Hockey Québec.
Hockey Québec continues its efforts to constantly improve its services and meet the needs of its members. The Federation warmly thanks all of its partners and members for their trust and ongoing commitment to the development of hockey in Quebec.
